Mormon ads on Facebook?
I've got nothing against Mormons -- in fact, some of my closest friends are Mormons and they're very nice people.

But I'm not interested in becoming a Mormon at all. Those ads all over Facebook, popping up on almost every page, are getting to be ridiculously annoying.

Is there any way to block a particular kind of ad like this?

Well, the ads that show up are targeted to your interests. With friends you have that are Mormons and have likely chosen Mormon things to be interested in, you are now target for Mormon ads listing on your page. When a person places an ad, they choose who to target as an audience, and you fit the profile. Start deleting them - click on the x and check uninteresting or other and explain why you don't want them. That will help, but you still may get some. But start removing them so you express your interests there and hopefully eliminate them in the future.

Yeah, click the X in the top right hand corner of the ad. Click it as offensive and it'll go away.

Mormons have never cared about whether they are annoying people or not (think of their missionaries going door to door). They have the only true religion (they believe) and they feel sorry for you because you are not as enlightened as they are (they believe). Also, the LDS church is very wealthy because faithful members pay 10% of their gross income to the church as tithing.

The LDS Church has figured that they are getting skewered all over the internet and they are desperately trying to get their own spin on things out in the public conversation. But now there's that musical from the creators of South Park, so I don't think the LDS general authorities can win this battle.
