Help? What does it mean when you receive an email from users you follow?

Ok so I know it sounds confusing but I received two emails saying Bella Thorne and Zendaya and Greyson Chance have tweets for you. I follow them but they dont follow me....or Atleast thats what it shows on my twitter app. (0 followers) that's what it says but anyways does that mean they are following me ?? Or are these direct messages? Help twitter users!?????? Is my twitter app glitching if that's the case ?

I've seen emails like this before, and they're not following me either. I think it's just twitter's way of reminding you to keep up with those people.
