Is the new Facebook Timeline going to replace the normal profile eventually?
I saw a few of my friends' new 'Timeline profiles' on facebook. I personally prefer the older profile. I know that for now, you can opt into Timeline. Is Timeline designed to replace your normal profile? I remember when they changed the facebook profiles last year. This appears to be suspiciously similar. Eventually, are all the profiles going to be changed to Timeline? Any information is welcome!! Thanks!

Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement about the deployment of the upgrade in any of its official pages, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size are never optional.
Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are. |

Yes they are going to replace the normal profile pretty soon.
The timeline will become the only choice.. You may enable it now and you have 7 days to edit, delete, hide data that you don't want the rest of the world to see. |
