New Facebook profile shows who viewed your profile?

I heard that in the new Facebook profile, the friends who come up in your sidebar are the ones who viewed your profile recently, is ther any truth to this?

Nope . It just shows friends randomly .

the new application is called Fan check. and no it does not tell you who is viewing your webpage what it does is compiles data based on the way people react with your profile to find out who your biggest fans are, in their own word. heres an official statement from the Facebook staff

'This application ranks your friends based on how often they interact with your Facebook wall. Interactions counted include wall posts, comments, likes, gifts and other public items posted to your wall. We do NOT count page views or private messages'.

It's not true. Even the applications that have "see who viewed your profile" are also not true. For more on it, check out the source. Bottom line, Facebook has no record of who saw your profile.
