How to edit privacy settings on Facebook?

How can I edit who can send me messages?
I've been getting weird messages from people who aren't even on my friends list, so I wanna only let friends send me messages.

click privacy settings, on the upper right, there's Connecting on Facebook., click View Settings. that's it,.customize who can send u msg

go into your account , then click PRIVACY SETTINGS. its pretty simple once you get that far(:

simply go to that persons page aND BLOCK THEM

Just go to your privacy settings. Also, with the new groups feature on Facebook, you may want to check which groups you currently belong to as you may be getting messages from people there.
