How to gain a following as a wrestling superstar ?

I am going to be attending the new york wrestling connection academy in the next few weeks with The Big O from zack ryder youtube show. I know the big o has just started training but h has had a big following before he started training. He has more than 8 thousand followers on twitter. I was wondering how I could gain a following like his before I start my training. Whether its though a youtube show or twitter. My twitter account is @chrisrettger. If you think I could gain a following through youtube, what type of stuff would you think gain a following. Please help and thanks

Start some kind of internet media and get some fans, hand out flyers do something to get noticed.

Seriously though, I don't know about YouTube. I mean, Matt Hardy's on YouTube and at the moment, his YouTube shenanigans are a large part of why none of the companies will touch him with a ten foot pole. They get the initial following by getting someone who already has a following to talk about them. Having a following before you start training isn't necessarily a good thing- everything gets more magnified. Your successes, sure, but also your faults and failures. You'd have to keep topping yourself before you even start, y'know?
