How to post my Facebook profile link as signature on a forum?

I want to add my Facebook profile link to my signature on a forum that I am on. How can I get the legitimate link so people can click it and it sends them to my profile?

I had a friend send me the link for my page that appeared when they were on it...but it doesn't seem to work for some reason when people click on it. The page doesn't work. Anyone know how I can fix this?
