website into a three ring political circus,with pictures and comments about the candidates,its sick,its bad enough we see ads on the television till we scream uncle that theyre turning facebook upside down.

i agree with you. but there is a cool solution to the problem.
just install a free browser extension called FB Purity, it lets you filter out posts that you are not interested in such as politics or sports, or pets or whatever subject it is you dont like. you just need to add the keywords that you want to filter out of your stream into the text filter, and then you can enjoy a stress free newsfeed.
