Should I feel obligated to post this on my facebook?

so I went to a community college for 2 years than I transferred to Yale university. Well on my facebook I just put down that I go to Yale and. It the community college. I guess I feel the community college was not important so I left it off. My other friends who went to community college posted that they attended a community college as well as saying they go to Yale. Should I follow them and post this as well?

Why post anything when all it is, is attention seeking. The general public doesn't care. Do what you like.

I wouldn't worry about posting it. Facebook is not an official resume by any means. Show off what you like to your friends. If you want people to be able to find you through via searching by community college, it might be useful. If it were me, I probably wouldn't bother showing the community college, just Yale.
