If you hide a sponsored ad on facebook, can other people still see the same ad?
Like i said, if you hide a sponsored ad on facebook that you didn't want anyone to see, and you went into the settings for ads and changed it to "hide ad because: offensive" would your other friends still see it and only you couldn't, or would it be gone for everyone?

since sponsored ads are related to the people you have added on facebook, would it make a difference if you didn't want to see them?
please take into consideration the word SPONSORED. not just an ad, its an ad pertenant to the facebooker.


And if not, is there any way to change your sponsored ads?
as in, liking different pages and things?
and home come I can only see ads pertinant to me, not from my other friends? (who live far away, so i don't know why i'm only getting ads about my city)

I have not put in an ounce of personal information on my facebook, in fact i put in that i live in a completely different country. i know it knows my IP address, but does that mean my friends (who do not live anywhere near me) will see all the same ads?

Just ignore the ads. When you choose to hide one they see it as your personal preference and it will still be shown to everyone else.

Facebook displays ads based on what they know about YOU. They know where you live and some of your browsing history so ads are going to be chosen based on that. People put in so much information about themselves that ads can often be VERY specific. This is one reason Facebook makes so much money.
