Destination Fiji Weddings?
Hey Everyone.
This isn't a question, its a blog about my Fiji Wedding,
In August 2012, with 35 of our closest friends and family we flew to fiji to say "i do"

when we started planning I had no idea where to start. I firstly went to a travel agent and went from there. I came across a facebook group called "I was married in fiji" so many helpful hints and tips on there. I found so many suppliers on there, djs, cake makers, etc.

We stayed at the Shangri-La. Beautiful resort and beautiful people. I could not fault anything about our stay there! We had our baby sitter Adi Cea(pronounced Andy) watching our little girl when we wanted time by ourselves. She was wonderful and my little girl loved her. The weather was beauitiful the whole time we were there. It sprinkled once out of the 11 nights we were there.

The Wedding: 22nd August 2012. I woke up to a beautiful sunny day. We went for a walk to the chapel with the bridesmaids around 7am to admire I would be getting married there in 8 hours. We then went down to breakfast, although I couldn’t eat, nerves were kicking in. At 9 am Hair Perfectionist arrived to do our makeup, they do beautiful makeup and are so kind. I had 4 bridesmaids. A close friend did my hair and bridesmaid’s hair as a wedding gift to me. While getting ready I had a knock on the door and a beautiful Fijian man came in and serenaded me, singing and playing his guitar with a beautiful bunch of tropical flowers, organised by my sweet husband to be. My little girl was in a middle of a nap when we had to wake her to try to get her ready before the ceremony, but she was tired and cranky, she ended up chucking a big tantrum and she couldn’t get carried down the aisle.. It made me upset before the ceremony but after the ceremony we met her outside for photos when she was happier. We got married in the Seaside Chapel. So Beautiful! We had serenades outside the chapel entertaining guest, we had the choir inside. I walked down the aisle to A thousand Years by Christina Perry. It was such an emotional ceremony but went so fast. We then got photos. I had brought my own photographer over with me, Caroline from Mihaja Wedding Photography. She is such a lovely woman, her work is amazing! I wouldn’t choose anyone else to do my photos! Words can not say how happy I am with my photos and I have only seen a handful of photos so I can not wait to share all the photos with yous once I get them.
We had our Reception at the Bilo Bar lawn. Beautiful venue!!!! Again I wouldn’t change the location. I had Grace Creations doing the setup, they made it look absolutely amazing!! Hanging lanterns, fairy lights, arch way, beautiful centre pieces, everything looked stunning. Also I had Dj Ranjit! Could not fault anything about him, he was an awesome dj and knew what to play to get all my guest up dancing! We aslo had the firedancers for a 20 minute show, my guest raved about them. They really made everyones night. If you can afford in your budget to get them I suggest you do, they are so fun and pull you up to join in on the fun. I really couldn’t ask for a better wedding. It was such a fun day, everyone enjoyed themselves! The food at the reception was amazing, beautiful food. Also we had the spirits, beer & wine package for everyone, so worth it! Everyone who came are big party animals, and they were drinking the bar out of grog haha, the bar people were double shotting everyones drinks, so strong but we defiantly got our moneys worth from the drinks package!!!! After the reception finished at 10pm, we went to the Black Marlin Bar, It was packed with people for a Wednesday night! We carried on the party there, and everyone just had an awesome night.
I am so happy we got married in Fiji, And I wouldn’t change one thing! It was the most perfect day, I had so much fun. The whole holiday was beautiful! If anyone has any questions your more then welcome to ask away. We also did an engagement session and trash the dress photoshoot, but for those who do trash the dress, be careful. Wedding dresses get so heavy when wet. I jumped into a pool first and couldn’t swim. I had friends on the side of the pool incase I couldn’t get up out of the water. Safety First!
I would just like to thank everyone who was part of my special day. Grace Creations, DJ Ranjit, Caroline from Mihaja Photography, The Shangri-La, My wedding Co Ordinator from the Shangri-la Alumita. Also all my guests at the wedding!

Anyone wanting to plan a fiji wedding i would highly reccommend it! I wouldnt change a thing! It was a small intimate wedding, it was the greatest fun, and a holiday for everyone at the same time.

I hate to break this to you, but yahoo answers is not the place to write wedding blogs at. Are the moderators reading this?
