Can i make it visible on facebook that i'm single?

it shows up if you go on my profile click about but i mean i want it under my profile pic box next to where i live and study etc, but it wont work

Sorry but you can only put that in your About in your Profile.

it sounds to me like you set your relationship status to private - you can easily change that - go to your timeline and click "update info" and find the audience selector for your relationship status
