How to make my timeline and photos private to everyone but my friends?

My whole facebook is out there for the world to see and I want it to be made private unless they're my friend or we have mutual friends but I don't know how. Please help! Thanks

Ok first thing make sure subscribe option is off meaning no one can not subscribe to you because if it is on public could see your facebook. Secondly there should be a globe icon beside the post you do not want them to see. Click it and set which privacy you want. If you want it for all go to account setting when you click the arrow on the top right corner of the page were you log off.
