Do you ask your spouse who their facebook friends are?
If your spouse were to add a new friend of the opposite sex, would you ask who they are? I ask and my husband will answer, whether it be someone from work or school etc. He thinks it's ridiculous that I feel the need to ask. I usually reply if I'm adding new male friends in my age category that you don't know, then I'd expect you to ask who they were to. End of story, just who is this new person. Is this overstepping boundaries? Appropriate? Just looking for other married people and their perspectives. Thanks.

I don't really have to. Most of the time I can tell based on the mutual friends.

Besides, if I get curious and there are no clues readily available to me, I can log in as him and check. He can do the same with my FB account.

Well it sounds as if there is an underlining here. I'm mean if there has been trust issues in the past....then you may want to deal with that. Regardless, you have every right to ask this question. Most men do get annoyed with this and think it's out of "jealous."

Yep I ask.

We go on each others pages from time to time....

I don't think you can overstep when you're married, there's not supposed to be secrets!

No, not really....unless I am on the computer on facebook and he's standing right there at that particular moment, I may ask then....but generally no, I don't ask...sometimes I click on them though, but not every time...and by their hometown I know they are a friend from school. besides they mostly all have hyphenated last names and are married anyway....living a 1000 miles away.

My husband has over 400 facebook friends, so I have no idea who they are and would not notice if he had a new friend, unless I saw it announced on my homepage. He doesn't want me to be friends with my exes on facebook, but if I hadn't told him, he wouldn't know they were exes.

I routinely go through his facebook and delete whomever I choose. LOL

He thinks it's cute that I still get jealous after 12 years....and I let him think I still am....it makes us both feel good.

I know it's stupid, but it works.
