Can you take your birth date off of Facebook Timeline?

I am thinking about switching to Facebook Timeline. But I am wondering if I could take my birth date off of the Facebook timeline, because I rather not have that showing. Does switching to Timeline give your facebook privcy problems? Like do post that you only want some of your friends to know about show up to all of your friends on facebook if you switch to Timeline?

I think you can........ facebook isnt a good place to put your personal info anyways.......

You can go into your account and change what shows about your birthday. For example, mine only shows month and day of birth... you can change it so nothing shows (although, no one would know when your birthday is) and this would change what's viewed in the timeline.
