What's the best way to make friends with this girl?
So, I met a girl at a music festival at my university. We talked for a very short while (though we were both a bit shitfaced) and then I added her as a friend on Facebook. We haven't talked since. Now, I'm not particularly interested in getting a girlfriend now; sure, it would be nice, but I'm just trying to make friends with people who go to my university. I don't know enough about her to start talking about something specific. Would "hi, i was wondering if you wanted to catch up sometime after the break? Smile" be enough, or does it sound desperate or spontaneous? How would you guys go about this? I don't need any answers like "just let the relationship form naturally", social engineering always helps. Thanks.

social engineering is an excuse to "socialize".
just simply ask her DIRECTLY to hanq out.
be honest and just tell from the beggininq if you want to date or just be friends.
but my suggesting is not to use Facebook to conversate. play it old school. in person... the conversation never ends.
good luck

Just say "hi" and ask her how she's doing Smile
Ask her something interesting but not desperate, for example: "Do you remember me?" or "I believe I saw you in the music festival.. Smile" or "what was your faborite part of the festival?"
Shell sure answer back if shes interested Smile
