How to grow my facebook app's user?

I finished my first facebook application. After a month, there is no traffic to my app. I doubt facebook have promoted it unless I pay Ad. Any one have any suggestion? Here is my facebook app for Birthday greetings : http://apps.facebook.com/friendsbirthday/

Comparing to other app in the same type, I felt it has its advantage but still need improvement. Please help.

Advertise, tweet about it, and make a small blog or one page site about it. Get all your friends to like and use the app... moreso, advertise it. Spend a $100 or so on click-through advertising in FB. Good luck!
