What is the point of being Facebook friends?

...a particular person took the initiative to add me as a friend. But, when I attempt to write a wall message to them, they never reply back. What is the purpose of being Facebook friends if he doesn't even want to be friendly and interact? HE added ME.

I have a lot of Facebook friends as well, but I would talk to any one of them without hesitation.I would not add someone who I had no intention of interacting with in the future - there just wouldn't be a point.

I agree, some ppl do that because their ignorant and just want to show they have alot oof friends but really dont know even half of them..i mean do u know this particular person? If so I dont understand y they wouldnt answer u back try sending a message if not forget them..
