How are some people able to get many likes on Facebook more easier than others.?

This guy I know posted a status a few hours ago about how his 11 year old cousin didnt know about hey Arnold and how he disowned him and got over 30 likes for that status. many of his statuses are that way. I don't understand. he only post like maybe twice, sometimes 3 times a week. It's like people are waiting to like his status. how are some people able to pull this off. if I sId something like that, the most I would probably get were 7 likes lol. we both have the same number of Facebook friends. They might be very popular and have lots of likes for that so it gets featured in the wall
They will like anything as long as lots of people likes the post.they might also be attractive or
They add random people.

lol you are acting immature and taking facebook way too seriously! Who cares how popular one can be, just post whatever it's on your mind, the most important is that you enjoy your status. Rather people like it or not it's just a consequence. Stop trying to please everyone.

Probably because his status is funny. People tend to like statuses that are funnier over serious ones describing your breakfast etc. He's probably good looking or more like-able.

It's just facebook, you shouldn't take this so seriously.
