Why do many people on Facebook received a suddenly higher amount of Facebook friends?
I check people's profiles and I noticed that the number of friends some of them have has jumped between 20-40 friends. They haven't massively added anyone either. Why is that? I'm quite curious, even though the number of friends doesn't determine popularity.

Maybe they have added a bunch of strangers so they can play facebook games, neighbours are needed when playing facebook games, loads of them x
