Why do I have Facebook Timeline?

I was on facebook today and it showed everyone with facebook timeline including me, I didn't even want to get timeline. My facebook was normal the last time I checked but today I had timeline. Wasn't it a choice to get timeline or does facebook give you timeline now even if you don't want it?

They're converting everyone over to timeline

Eventually everyone will be converted over to Timeline. It is not a choice thing. Once every has been changed over, the old version will no longer work.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

Facebook are moving everyone to Timeline and you cant remove Timeline once its enabled on your account.
