So in environmental science there is this senior who I think is just stunning, but I'm a sophomore. His really close friend is in that class too, any way me and the stunning senior we're in a group together during some of our summer course work and he always said my name and talked to me but not our other group mate, in class he always turns to see if I'm laughing when he does funny things, which is quite often, and I am always laughing and or looking at him, but anyway, today we were working together on a lab and the bell rang but he was staying after school and I had to catch to bus, as I started walking away he told me he would text me the results, then he immediately realized that he didn't have my number and asked me if I wanted his, but I, being the socially awkward creature that I am, continued walking and pretended not to hear him, later we connected on Facebook to share data, but what I guess I'm getting at is did I just ruin my one true chance of happiness? When I got home I got really mad at myself for being so stupid, do you think the opportunity will ever arise again????? I am seriously freaking out right now!!!!

Oh, come on! You did NOT ruin your "one chance at happiness".
Just act as though you truly didn't hear him and offer up your own number in conversation. Then he will likely reciprocate.
