Is our school principal allowed to check my friends facebook?
Our school principal checks my friend Arianna's bag everyday, (she's is not a threat), and she makes Arianna log into her facebook and look at her messages. Is that allowed? Arianna is really shy, and i told her that she's not allowed to check students facebook. Is she allowed?

Unless it has direct threat towards other students, no. And even then I believe a parent must be called along with the Police.

That's illegal! Facebook is private property! And you are not allowed to search a students bag unless the student is threatening and individual or shows signs of carrying a weapon!

He can't force her to log on to facebook however searching her bag or anything else she brings onto school property IS allowed in almost every city, state, and school system.

In school you do give up alot of your rights.
In a school place you dont have a right to privacy, so they can search your locker or bag with out reason or warning if they want to.

As for making someone log into their facebook account to show someone messages, that might be pushing it. But if you were already signed into it on a school computer or something, then they would have full rights to see anything you are doing on the computer.
