How to change notifications on Facebook profile?

I don't want to be notified when someone accepts my friend request. Is there a way to edit this?

EDIT YOUR ACCOUNT

SMART PHONES
1. Tap photo (top left of any page)
2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu
3. Tap account > account settings >edit notifications
OTHER PHONES
1. Click settings (bottom of every page)
2. Select setting for more options
3. Go to the notifications and edit

Update your notification settings. Click Edit next to the notification types you want to receive and make sure the appropriate boxes are checked.
When you've selected to only get summary emails of notifications, you won't be able to adjust individual notification settings. To turn summary emails off, unselect the Email Frequency option at the top of the notifications page...
