Can I get rid of the timeline on Facebook?
I tried using the timeline profile on Facebook (the new one) and I absolutely hate it. Is there a way to revert back to the way it was before?

Even if there was a way to revert you would be forced to update to the Timeline eventually. You may have opted into it, but you were going to be force to update in the end, so it's best just to get used to it and to expect further forced updates from Facebook in the future. This has been going on ever since 2004, so it's nothing new to "veterans" like myself.

No, there's no way to remove it.
Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional. Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are. |
