Why are people's Facebook profile pictures images of companies?
Since I've gone on Facebook today, I've noticed that whenever I go to someone's profile the little thumbnail pictures on their page are images of Plasco Energy Group. Their full sized profile picture is normal though - only their thumbnails are affected. I have been visiting Plasco's website a lot for a physics project, so is this a new advertising method on Facebook?

It could be that the picture you saw on the Plasco page was called exactly the same as the profile picture's thumbnail. Therefore your browser might not re-download something with the same name. If it happens to more than one profile i have no answer.
I would try deleting the log, cache and cookies of the internet-browser you are using. Firefox - Ctrl+Shift+Delete... |
