Addicted to anime/manga/internet in general? Help?
Before you say that anime/manga is not harmful and that I should embrace it, in a way it is. I spend way too much time on it when I should be studying for big tests. Problem is that my school is trying to "help the environment" (aka. save money) and have everything up on the internet so I can't turn off the computer and shove it under my bed. Another problem is that I draw a lot of the styles and my freedom for the colors would look plain (negatively) weird and I personally think art is fine since I love art and it's probably the only place where I actually do anything creative, but I need a lot of references leading me to use the internet and being distracted (like facebook-I can't delete my facebook because my school conveniently puts all their announcements they dont put in their website on their page and it's a closed group). I usually can focus with some soft music on but I'm starting to get tired of the songs (like Rain from Pricilla Ahn, Almost Lover-Fine Frenzy).
In other words I'm in a dilemma. Any suggestions? Music suggestions are fine too! It can't be something distracting like Teenage Dream or Our Song or something like that though..
The thing is that I need to stop COMPLETELY. I don't and should not have time of such things anyways.
I don't have any friends that live near and my parents would never drive me more than five minutes to do something like that..I'd probably get distracted anyways..thanks though

Create a separate computer account for your school work and block all the anime/manga sites.

I think you should have someone with you that will help you stay focused. Have a friend work with you on things. You should let the Anime and Magna alone. you should tell yourself that the longer you put it off, the more Episodes/Chapters there will be when you have free time and watch/read them all without all ways think of what will happen next week. I am in the same situation with you. This should be a question i should be asking too. usually i try to focus more on things with other people areound.
