How do you hide your profile on facebook?

Is it possible to hide your facebook profile from people not on your friends list? What that means is that my profile would not even show up on the friends list of a mutual friend of ours.

You could block people who you dont want seeing your profile by typing their names in the privacy settings tab

Uh, yes go into profile setting and click privacy then choose friends only.

go to the privacy settings and choose only me. So you are the only one who can see your profile is you. Or you could set to to custom list. Just people of your choice. Or just your friends.
