How can I delete an old facebook profile?

I have an old facebook account and people keep sending messages and requesting to be friends on the old one instead of my newer one and for some reason, I cannot figure out how to delete the profile!!

Just go to your account settings and change the info.

After logging in to the old one, move your mouse over Settings near the right on the bar at the top, then click Account Settings. There, click deactivate near the bottom.

Apparently, the Facebook account deletion process is straightforward. All you need to do is simply, login to your Facebook account, then click Settings and from the Deactivate section choose Deactivate.

The above process only deactivates the account but does not delete it completely... If you completely want to delete the account you will have to get in touch with facebook via email request the deactivated account to be deleted perminantly.

You can't delete it but you can deactivate the profile. The benefit of deactivating is whenever you wanna reactivate it so you can easily reactivate your account.
