Why do ads always appear as my Facebook status update?
I deactivated my FB recently but it keeps reactivating itself!
Whenever FB think I am active again, (whenever my account is open for others again as if I'm still on FB) an ad appears as my status update. But the thing is, I never even wrote any of it down.
For example, sometimes my status is updated saying "lose 21 lbs in 18 days" blah blah blah.
Or another status I keep seeing is something about a credit card.
Anyone know why this is happening. I'm tired of these status updates appearing as me and that's why I deactivated it.
And also if it's possible, do you know how to stop these ridiculous ads coming up as my status?
And also, does anyone know why my account keeps getting reactivated? No one knows the my information so idk why I keep getting emails saying it's reactivated?

Change the password. I think you clicked a "spam" link and no the website is spamming your wall and trying to reach out to your friends to do the same. just change the password.

It could be some Spam app that you've granted access to post on your behalf, ignorantly. Go to your allowed apps on fb and disable (delete) any one you suspect.

It sounds like you have installed some malware by accident. You need to run malwarebytes antimalware or superantispyware program to get rid of it.

BTW i also recommend FB Purity for filtering out ads and other unsavoury content that you dont want to see on Facebook: http://fbpurity.com
