How do you turn off notifications about friends of friends on facebook?

My dad just got a facebook and I suggested a few friends he should save. One in particular gets raunchy stuff from her other friends and he sees that. How do you change it so he doesn't see what her friends are saying to her?

you can't. if they are tagged in something, or someone writes on thier wall, u can't not see it unless u dont go to thier profile or try to ignore it.

well i think if you click on the notification box then you can see a little 'x' that will let you get less notifications from that person. also on the home page next to each notifications you will find a little 'x' that will say something like 'would you like to not see things about serena van der woodsen' then you can say yes. i think that's what you're asking for!
