How do I make sure my Contact Details have not been synced to others phones via FaceBook group contacts.?
FaceBook now updates all your 'friends' contact details- phone number, skype, email etc into your phones 'Contacts', which I believe is a little invasive (Yes I know Facebook in general isn't exactly personal...). I've removed all of the contacts I didn't want, but I just want to make sure no one will be able to see my phone number and details (They are confidential to my profession. And are not supposed to be given out.)

I edited my profile to make sure they're not shown there, but does that mean no one will have access to it now? Should I delete the Facebook app from my iPhone? Should I stop using Facebook on my phone in general? Is there anyway of turning back?

Anyone help would be great. I just need to make sure they are completely not there so I don't lose my job!

Thanks.

You can set what people can see under privacy settings. Just set those information, which you want not to share, as private.

However, some apps still can access to them via API. You gotta remove those apps from your account too. Make sure to check app permissions while adding apps in future.

Removing Facebook app from your phone won't help much.

Just edit privacy settings and other visibility preferences limited to you or your contacts.
Like your mobile number, email address and other personal contact particulars that you want to set personal and not visible to anyone or just your friends.

And within the Facebook Application under Sync Contacts turn it off and Remove Data.
