He hasn't talked to me in a few days, but he called me when he was drunk. Why?

Okay, I'm gonna make this as short as I can. Met this guy first day of class in college (3 weeks ago), we started talking in class, then texting all day and night, then hanging out with friends and having study groups.

He'd always compliment my looks.outfits.
He always smiles BIG when I look into his eyes when I talk to him.
His friends LOVE me haha.
He teases me 24/7 and we "playfully fight" and "wrestle"

I never have done anything with him, just gave him a hug when he walks me to my car.

His friends have asked me: So what's going on with you and john? Do you guys have a thing? Do you like him? Do you think he's cute? Etc.

He asked me after we hung out one day: Sooo, do you like me yet?
I said: Hmmm idk do you like me yet?
He said: I asked you first
I said: I asked you second
He said: Hmmm then I guess we'll never know

He used to tweet me ALL THE TIME, and retweet everything I said pretty much. And he'd comment/like all my Facebook statuses.

Told me he wants a relationship, and that he doesn't want me to think he's a bad guy because I get hurt a lot.

***I hadn't heard from him in like 3/4 days. He made 2 tweets though that I thought might be about me....
1) "If only she knew how I felt about her"
2) Whenever I go for a girl, she never goes for me. It's like cat and mouse games."
EVERYONE thinks they're about me.

Okay, so now, he called me last night. He deff did not sound drunk at all, and he was perfectly normal during the whole conversation. But he told me he had been drinking a lot. Anyhow, he talked to me for a while on the phone with his boys in the background. He was being real nice. Like "What have you been up to?" "How's school?" "Whatcha doing right now?" Etc.

Then he said, "I'm going to bed, text me"
And I NEVER want to text guys first, especially one I like.
So I said, "You text me"
And he said, "Don't be like that. Ya know the whole guy text first thing, just text me"
And I said, "Okay fineeeee"
SO I'll text him later todayyy.

So what does this mean? Did it mean that I was on his mind and then when he got drunk he had the nerve to call me? Or was he looking for a booty call, or was he bored? Why did he do this?

Well he obviously likes you. and you like him (I think but you never specified that in the question). I don't really think he was drunk but he MIGHT have been. Usually drunk people aren't that nice and they slurr their words and don't make sense. Maybe he needed and excuse to talk to you. His friends know he likes you, too...but he feels like the 'thing' you have is one sided because you always want him to text you first, talk to you first, admit his feelings first, ect. (Which is just like me btw it's not a bad thing)

So maybe you should start hinting that you like him a little more. (:
