How to get rid of ceraitn ads on facebook?

It all started when idiot me decided to "win" a 25 dollar apple gift card. They said i had to do some surveys or sign up for pagerage. When I did, the toolbar downloaded itself, and I got it uninstalled. But when I get on facebook, some ads that are not normal will pop up like in the middle of the page. Theyre the ones like "someones looking for you! give us info and see!" How do I get rid of these?
I tried to delete them, I went to options but there was no "delete cookies" option, and I even went to the page were it deleted all history, cookies, passwords, etc, but they're still not gone.

Use adblock. (available on chrome and firefox) and subscribe to one or more block lists. also you can block the ads yourself with adblock.

you probably have some add ware or spy ware in your computer also you can clear all your history, cookies, and ect ect all needs to go

Ad block is like a bandage for your issue it will work but you will still have a cookie or something that is in your profile

Update, well I'm not quite sure where the issue lies, but you can just get rid of them all than. If you use firefox here is the add block plus page you can get rid of all adds, if you do not use firefox let me know what you use, or "Google" "ad blocker (web browser name)" that should get you some sort of program (for free) to block all ads.
