I feel like I met my soul mate but it's a wrong timing sort of situation?

I befriended someone who I went to high school with on facebook and he messaged me one night and I knew I should've ignored it because he was married which I would have usually done but something came over me and I felt like I needed to talk to him. I didn't know him well in high school but when we met in person, it felt like coming home. I've never felt like this before about anyone, even my ex husband. I knew what we were doing was wrong but I couldn't live without him. I felt completed. I don't know what it was but I never ever felt this way before. I missed him every minute til I saw him again and I felt safe. I could be myself and we are so much alike it's scary. But, he wants to work things out with her for the kids and things are up in the air for them. We are still friends but I am completely devastated and can't do anything, and this is coming from someone who has been able to bounce back and snap out break-ups easily. I have given up on ever finding anyone again that makes me feel the same way.

You need to break ties with him if he is to maintain his marriage/home life. Being friends with someone you are apparently in love with is difficult and will only make things more complicated for his family when temptation arises. It is best for both of you to end it. If he gets a divorce, then maybe try again. But until then, you are asking for trouble.

The feeling you have of being afraid to never feel love again is probably clouded by the rawness of the situation rather than a reflection of your chances at obtaining happiness and love in the future. Give it time. You said yourself you have never felt this way before. Why would you assume that you would feel just like you always did after cutting ties with this "special" guy?

im sorry u are feeling that way..but lets be honest if he felt the same towards u he would of done the right thing and talk to mother of children and be truly honest about how he wanted to be with you instead dont hurt yourself much more,,, i know it may seenm like you arent never going to feel that special way again but let me tell you you dont need to be sharing a men u will find someone special.. even as hard as that may sound to believe right now. live your life and i bet that someone will find you instead
