Help with the privacy settings on Facebook?
When someone that is not friend views my profile, it just shows my gender. Nothing else on the page, not my friends or anything.I have my settings for that on everyone but they still do not show up. I am 16 and I know they have restrictions for under 18 now but I have been adding people my age and have seen alot more on their profiles. Why will it not allow mine to show anything? Is it because I didn't change my settings before the big switch?

You can control the visibility of your profile information with the following privacy settings:
Education, work, current city and hometown are controlled by one setting, which you can view and adjust from the Basic Directory Information section of your privacy settings. http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=806#!...ab=privacy Interests, activities and other things I like are controlled by one setting, which you can also view and adjust from the Basic Directory Information section of your privacy page. The settings for information that falls under the "About Me" section on your profile (e.g., Relationship Status or Family) are granular. http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=806#!...ab=privacy To view or edit these settings, follow the Customize settings link in the "Sharing on Facebook" section of your Privacy settings. The settings for each piece of contact information that you share on your profile are granular. To view or edit these settings, follow the Customize settings link in the "Sharing on Facebook" section of your Privacy settings. There are three types of content on your Wall, and you can control who can see these by clicking the Customize settings link in the "Sharing on Facebook" section of your Privacy Settings page. |
