How do i subscribe to my friends facebook status update?

I cannot figure how to subscribe to my friends facebook status so when he updates it i get an e-mail!

I've never heard of that. I don't think that's possible on facebook.

You can not subscribe to your facebook status OR your friends
facebook status either. i personally have never heard of it before sorry..

I honestly dont think you can subscribe to anything but you can "like"
status's or videos, photos etc.
