How do I make my facebook account private?

I've been getting a lot of random friend requests and messages and stuff, so I just want to hide my profile from everyone (apart from my friends). How do I do that?

you cAN GO TO THE FACEBOOK SETTINGS AND SET AS PRIVATE ACCOUNT

Click on the down arrow next to home on the top right corner, then click privacy settings, then there is a section saying how you connect and to the right of it it says edit setting click on that and change whatever You can also change who see's whats on your wall by the control your default privacy section or by clicking the bottom right button when making a status
