What is the point of facebook?

I guess I am in a cynical mood tonight, but it seems like adult posters fall into one of these categories:

1) Married with kids. Rarely posts, but when he/she does, it's a picture of the kids. All of his facebook friends with kids "like" it.

2) Interested in politics or religion. Posts all the time. Talks policy, cites bible verses, attacks the political opposition.

3) Runs a small business and uses facebook to attract business. Doesn't want to offend anyone. Never discusses politics or religion.

I'm friends with all three of those people, and they are the best kind of people to know!

I don't know what's wrong with them; they are very nice people/Facebook friends.

Maybe you need a break from Facebook...sounds like it's getting to you. I would know, I used to be like that
