On Facebook, can I choose the ads next to my profile?
I keep seeing these political ads in favor of prop. 16 and against Jane Harman, my local congresswoman. The problem is I'm deeply against prop. 16 and in favor of re-electing Jane Harman.

Is there any way I can ask for those ads not to be run next to my profile?

Every add should have a little cross in the top right corner which will remove the ad, but it will also ask you why you want to remove it and this should prevent those types of ads coming up again.
