can ur friends on facebook just go half moon or offline just for one person like for example i go offline when some girl i dont like signs on and can continue chatting with my other friends on fb
^ the above is an example ive never done that but is it possible to do that

The only way you can do that is buy communicating with your friend on their page or vice versa. Hope this helps.

yeah i just realised you can its great, you can go online but if someones online that you cant be bothered chatting to you can drag and paste their name up to where it says 'limited profile' so you can carry on chatting to everyone else but the person in the limited profile bit will think your offline. Where all your friends names are where it says online / offline above it it should say limited profile if it dont go to settings in the chat bit and tick the box that says limited profile. you can keep the person in limited profile and turn that bit on and off as and when you like.
But sometimes i do wonder if anyone as got me in there.... bloody cheek if they have !!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL !!!
