Can I upload moving images to my facebook profile?

I know that facebook doesnt support .gif files ,but recently, ive seen people put short videos and some animated moving pictures as their profile pics...Did facebook start supporting the format?..or do you have to use an external app for doing that?

A moving image or "motion graphic" can be uploaded so long as GIF file types are accepted in Facebook. I did some research and it seems they are acceptable using an application: know as "yoursexy". Although, as FB is one of the fastest-growing forms of SMM, I think you will find that more and more file types become acceptable.
