Why are there facebook ads that keep popping up on my facebook?

Its usually a video somewhere down the scroll of a commercial about lysol or something. It wont shut up, it has no pause button, and there is a mute button, but when you click it it doesnt stop. The other pop up is one that covers my whole screen and has no 'X' for me to close it. One time there was a picture of a naked woman.
How do I get rid of these, and why are they on my facebook???

check out options in the browser you use ..there is a section called "Pop up blocker". check it..which browser do u use by the way..

for a start off facebook is free to register so you have to ask yourself why its a business worth BILLIONS,the answer lies in the advertising and combined with the 500million+ users,facebook becomes an advertising dream,belive me when i say that each advert you see has cost the company a fortune,im not sure if theres a way to close the adverts but my guess would be that you cant,i may be wrong but if you cant see a way to close then you probably cant.
