my my max budget is $1000
I will just be using it for normal internet stuff like Y/A facebook ,twitter ,youtube
farmville ,itunes ,watching DvDs .

I never bought a laptop before so I no zero what what is needed

I have an HP Pavilion dv6
It's about $800
It's perfect for what you're looking for. I use mine and I have like 3 different internet browsers open at once and it's still amazingly fast, I also use it for basic photo editing.
So, if you just want something to use for internet I'd say go with an HP.
