How to get rid of Facebook timeline?

It automatically updated my Facebook to have it and I hate it, how can I get rid of it?

You can't fb are making it permanent for everyone now! no turning back! I accidentally got it but now I don't mind it! It's a change from the old layout!

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update

it will take you a few days to get used to the changes, but overall, it's much better than the old profile

you can trick your browser into making it so you see your old profile, but everyone else will still be seeing your timeline profile, along with anything you dont want them seeing, and you wont be able to see anyone else's timeline profile then either

Its not possible to completely remove Timeline, but you can easily go back to viewing the old style profile pages without timeline, you just need to follow this simple guide:

Deleting Timeline for Chrome users.
ATTN: FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THE TIMELINE PROFILE AND WANT TO GET RID OF IT HERE'S WHAT YOU DO....Users have to use GOOGLE CHROME:go to TOOLS, click EXTENSIONS, then click bottom link- MORE EXTENSIONS, type in TIMELINE REMOVE, a post on right of page says- REMOVE TIMELINE? CLICK IT, (YOU DONT HAVE TO LIKE IT) then REFRESH FACEBOOK & you should have the Old FB Wall Back!! Pass it on...

now this only works for those working on chrome...but not IE, firefox or safari...

There's no way to undo the Timeline upgrade. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.
