Should I shut down my Facebook?

I've been pondering this for a while. I'm really sick of having all these "friends" when the truth is I don't speak to most of them. I have one or two REAL friends on there, but I have their cell phone numbers so we usually talk on the phone, text, or speak in person. I'm friends on Facebook with people who use to bully me, and it still hurts. They don't do it anymore, but every time I log in and see their name it angers me and brings me back. I'm also fed up of seeing crude comments that people make to others, and people posting "Top 10 prettiest girls" or things like that, because I personally believe everyone is beautiful inside and out. I wouldn't be loosing any real friends, since all my good friends and I speak in person and like I said, we usually contact each other without facebook. What do you think? Thanks.

1) Go to account settings found in the drop arrow by the Home button
2) Then go to general tab
3) Click deactivate account
4) Proceed with getting a life
