Can facebook friends see what websites you visit?
Recently I have noticed in the newsfeed, it shows things like "so and so has recently read this article" and things like that. So I am wondering, does facebook show your friends what websites you visit and what you do on line outside of facebook? Why does it say what articles people are reading? It just seems like a total invasion of privacy...

those people agreed to it when they synced their yahoo with their facebook (so it's not an invasion of privacy)
notice that all the articles are yahoo articles Ads |

It's an invasion of privacy all right.
They haven't configured their privacy settings properly or kept up to date with the latest privacy issues. Here are a few to look at: Must do privacy tweaks: http://www.pcworld.com/article/246371/pr...weaks.html http://www.pcworld.com/article/246946/ma...guide.html Google now indexing Facebook comments that people have made: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-5731887...-comments/ Facebook Timeline a stalker's paradise: http://www.zdnet.com/blog/igeneration/fa...-way/12931 Need to opt out of Facebook’s Instant Personalization which is the culprit. |
