Why might you ask to become Facebook friends after one date?
I had this happen to me recently and I agreed. I'm just curious what the thinking behind it is?

So in my situation - the guy asked to be Facebook friends during the date and so I added it while we were there.

Yes. So he can scope you out and get to know u too but beware. Dating and relationships on Facebook can turn nasty real fast so keep it on the downlow. Say u are in a relationship when it happens etc but neither one of u shld share personal info about halls relationship ( unless it's something nice) at all. And if he has female friends and u have male friends make sure there are no jealousy issues with either of y'all about that. Don't spend too much time checking up on eachother on Facebook. Don't even get on it but maybe once a week. It's an addictive and dangerous site to ones emotional health if one uses it too frequently or innapropriatley.

Well what is the certain question you are asking.. I will try it best to answer you in what I can think is what I would do in this type of situation...
Here it goes..
You want to know why do you want to "ask" someone to become a friend after only meeting them once to your Facebook site... Uh I think that they wanted it because if the date were to subside and go wrong he will still have access of the site that you did indeed add him to and he will always have that contact of which you yourself being the owner of that page has agreed for that one person, even if it was not him, he could have entered several different names and you still accepted these friends not knowing it was him that you in fact did agree to because being on this FACE BOOK page, of what claims to be this person, it does not initial him as you and that person who you agreed to. It is just that your computer will only recognize the other as one that you did not want to know and he will have your blessing because you did indeed agree.
So that is what I think it means to be the answer, although if it is not the thing you want you can always go in and block him from your site, or you can even change that site to a different name and you will still have access to the people on the other, and the contacts just sign in on your site will be under a d

Facebook is just a social network. It's fine to add him as a friend! Delete buttom works fine as well no worries
