No message or add friend option on Facebook?

My friend recently got Facebook, so I added her as a friend, no problem. Before she was my friend, on her timeline I could have options such as send her a message or add her as a friend. However my cousin was going to add her as a friend also, and when he went on to her timeline there was no option for sending a message or adding her as a friend. Anyone know why this is?

well ur fren has made some privacy setting such that only her frens can message her and frens who are mutual to u both can add her.well whtr ur cousin is ur fren in fb..

They set their privacy in a different way. Probably your cousin had mutual friends with her. My fb is set so that only people with mutual friends could send me a request.
