help!! i need to know if i can and should sue!!!?
so my friends got into a fight with a bouncer at the bar but the bouncer started it bc he mistakened my friend for someone else who hit a girl. The fight broke out outside of the bar and i tried broke it up and they started fighting again and it lead back inside the bar. my other friend breaks the door and a guy hits me and so i picked him up and slammed him on the sidewalk and then go back inside to help stop the fight and i slipped on beer and sprained my knee badly. The next day my friend got a facebook message from the bar saying that they want him to pay for the door or else they will sue and the door is only $200. Should i sue them for my accident inside the bar causing me to sprain my knee or is it not worth it?
and no i didn't file an accident report but i did tell the police about how it happened when they arrived and took all my information down. This happened 2 days ago, is it too late?
and there was only one bouncer and he was the one that started the fight.

The bouncer was getting paid to keep things in check. You were not. If you hadn't stuck your nose in, you wouldn't have gotten hurt. The fight was between the bouncer and your friend. I don't see where you have a case.

You can sue, but you should not bother, since you won't win. You knew there was fight going on in there, and you went in anyway. Called "assumption of risk" in legal terms. Or, in layman's terms, common sense: stay away from brawls if you don't want to be hurt.

You can sue a tomato and would have a better chance for a cash payment.
